Enterprise-Wide Modeling
A management approach that spreads data modeling and simulation practices across every company function, beyond specialized technical or analytics teams.
Explanation
Data modeling and simulation are traditionally confined to finance, engineering, or analytics departments. Enterprise-wide modeling extends that discipline organization-wide, encouraging marketing, HR, operations, and other functions to build and test models of their own decisions before committing to them. The underlying premise is that if modeling improves decision quality in one function, spreading that capability broadly should improve decision quality everywhere. The concept matters to marketers and executives as part of a broader shift toward data-driven, testable decision-making at every level of an organization, not confined to specialized analytics teams.
