Immersive Storytelling
A narrative technique that places the audience inside the story using technologies like VR, AR, or 360-degree video rather than having them observe from outside.
Explanation
Immersive storytelling uses technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, 360-degree video, or interactive installations to make an audience feel present within a narrative instead of simply watching it unfold. It grew out of documentary and gaming experiments in the 2010s and has since been adopted in advertising, museum exhibits, and branded experiences. For marketers, it can create stronger emotional engagement and memorability than a traditional ad, though it requires more production investment and works best when the format genuinely serves the story rather than being used as a novelty.
