Multiexperience
A design and technology approach that delivers a consistent brand experience across many devices, senses, and interaction modes, such as touch, voice, and gesture.
Explanation
Gartner named multiexperience one of its Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2020, defining it as the shift from single-device thinking to a multisensory, multidevice, multimodal way people interact with the digital world, spanning web, mobile, wearables, voice assistants, and immersive interfaces. Rather than building one experience per channel, organizations aim for a cohesive journey regardless of which touchpoint a customer uses. A fragmented experience across channels damages brand perception and conversion, so multiexperience thinking forces marketing and product teams to coordinate content and interaction design across every surface a customer might use.
