Seenager
A blend of "senior" and "teenager" describing older adults, generally past traditional retirement age, who stay active, curious, and open to new trends.
Explanation
Seenager describes people in their 60s, 70s, or beyond who reject the passive image often attached to old age and instead pursue travel, hobbies, fitness, and new experiences much as a teenager pursues novelty. The word began circulating online and in lifestyle press during the 2010s as a lighter, more positive alternative to labels like "senior citizen" or "elderly." Marketers read it as a signal: this age group wants to be treated as active consumers with disposable income and time, not as a passive demographic to be talked down to. Brands in travel, wellness, fashion, and technology increasingly build campaigns around this reframed image of later life.
